First digging on the veg plot – 17th February 2013

With some sunshine and finally a slightly milder afternoon, it was time to start digging over the veg plot.

The plot has been left over the winter after the final clearance back in November, with just the gooseberry, raspberry and rhubarb left.

It was good to be out working in the garden again, following a long, cold winter, although the soil was still wet and not particularly conducive to digging.

I only managed a few rows of digging.  Hopefully we’ll be able to get the rest of the plot cleared over the next few weeks.
