Forty-six year old Christian happily negotiating the world with a wife and three daughters
Once again we ended up leaving our monthly walk until the last Sunday of April.
This time, however, we were joined by Hugh, as well as the rest of the family – and even mum for the first part!
With temperatures still unseasonably chilly, we were thankful at least for dry conditions.
With a bigger car than we had last year, we were able to take Sarah’s parents up to enjoy the lambing weekend at the Berkshire College of Agriculture.

Last year, the weather had been somewhat unpredictable and this year promised more of the same.
We arrived soon after 10am and decided to look around at some of the animals and insects first.
Afterwards, with the weather looking increasingly inclement, I was sent back to the car to retrieve the picnic. We managed to secure a table, fortunately under an umbrella!
Dodging the heavy showers at @BCA_Maidenhead. Picnic helped down by flasks of tea and hot chocolate. Chilly wind. #BCAOpenWeekend2013

After lunch, the rain set in for a while and we took shelter inside the college and had a look around at some of the displays.
We happened to coincide with the arrival of the Mayor and the girls were offered some of his cakes to eat, once he had left!
With the weather improving, we made our way around some of the stalls on the back lawn and headed down to the lambing tent, via the climbing wall, which both Rebekah and Holly were keen to try.
The girls enjoyed seeing some of the newly born lambs in the tent.
We looked around the craft tent before eventually finding the new location for the tractor tour around the grounds.
Despite the occasional showers, we enjoyed our visit and the girls are looking forward to next year already.
Today was the funeral service for Baroness Thatcher, who passed away just ten days ago. The funeral, which included full military honours, was attended by over 2000 people and took place at St Paul’s Cathedral.

After a relaxing morning at home, we're back at @ClivedenNT for a birthday stroll for @sarahlbray among the golden daffodils.
— Phil Bray (@PhilBray) April 15, 2013
Rather than venture too far, we decided to spend the afternoon at Cliveden for Sarah’s birthday.
The daffodils are getting a little past their best, but the primroses are still looking good.
Trees are still not in leaf, although some of the flowers in the Water Garden give the impression that spring may be finally around the corner!
